Korean noodles, Thai sauces, mochi ice creams, or Japanese rice… A new Asian supermarket has just opened in Lomme! Named Au Marché Flottant, it brings together products from all over Asia and is already set to become a haven for Asian cuisine lovers near Lille.

Head towards the roundabout of MIN in Lomme, at the border of Ennetières-en-Weppes and Capinghem. Here, Au Marché Flottant has opened, an Asian supermarket offering a wide selection of products from Thailand, Korea, Japan, China, Vietnam, and Laos. This new spot adds to the already rich selection of Asian supermarkets in Lille, now located in the western part of the metropolis.

A catering corner that instantly catches the eye

From the entrance, you can't miss the catering corner, one of the most delicious areas of the store. You can find trays of sushi, Asian fried foods, pastries, special breads, and sweet or savory snacks. The kitchens are just behind it, allowing for regular fresh preparations. Perfect for grabbing a quick meal or an appetizer that’s a fun change from chips.

Shelves filled with ingredients from Asia

In the aisles of the store, Asian cuisine enthusiasts will quickly find their happiness. The shelves are packed with soy sauce, oyster sauce, sriracha, fish sauces, or fermented condiments, as well as spices and curry pastes to prepare Thai, Vietnamese, or Japanese dishes at home. You can't miss the instant noodle shelves, featuring a multitude of brands and flavors: shrimp, chicken, pork, duck, or ultra-spicy versions for thrill-seekers. In the carb section, you'll also find sticky rice, black rice, vermicelli, udon, and noodles of all kinds.

Fresh products, frozen goods, and Asian specialties

At the back of the store, it's all about fresh and frozen products. Here, you'll discover exotic fruits and vegetables, as well as ready-to-cook specialties or to reheat.
