In their statement, the team talks about the end of an “exceptional collective and human adventure”. Despite constantly evolving activities, the project eventually faced economic constraints that became too heavy, particularly a rent considered too high and disconnected from the market. It’s a tough blow for a place that managed to bring together businesses, visitors, partners, and an entire community of regulars around a genuine sense of energy. Because GARAGE wasn’t just a spot to visit. It was also a reflex: “Hey, what’s happening at the Garage this weekend?” Just for that, its departure leaves a real void in the Lille scene.
