This year again, the numbers are chilling: in France, there are 271,000 victims of domestic violence in 2023, marking a 10% increase compared to last year. On the femicide front, 122 women have been killed since the beginning of the year. These chilling statistics fully justify a collective mobilization.

It's in this context that Lille will kick off on Saturday, November 23, at 2 PM, starting from the Place du Théâtre, to say stop to sexist and sexual violence. Organized by the collective Nous Toutes Lille, as part of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, this mobilization aims to raise public awareness and demand concrete actions to better prevent this violence, support victims, and ensure women's access to their fundamental rights.

But this day isn't just about walking! After hitting the pavement, head to the Gymnase at Place Sébastopol, where a community village awaits you. 15 associations and unions will be present, along with an exhibition on equality at work, tasty food trucks to nibble on, a bar, and two concerts starting at 6:30 PM. In short, it's a friendly and engaging way to wrap up this day of mobilization.
