Service Disruptions Every Monday Evening

Until Monday, October 27th inclusive, Line 1 will stop running at 10:30 PM every Monday evening.
But that’s not all! Mark your calendar for the additional Tuesday dates of September 30th, October 14th, and October 28th as well. Shuttle buses will be available every 10 to 15 minutes.

A complicated Sunday…

On October 12, here we go again: traffic will be cut off starting at 1:30 PM and won’t resume for the rest of the day. But don’t worry, shuttle buses will be there to save the day, running every 8 to 10 minutes during the day.

… and a black weekend

The main event? On Saturday, October 18 and Sunday, October 19, Line 1 will be completely closed. You’ll have to rely on shuttle buses running every 7 to 15 minutes, just like the metro’s operating hours.

Why all this?

Because in February 2026, MEL, Ilévia, and Alstom want to finally launch the new 52-meter trains. The result? More seats, improved comfort, and a boosted frequency starting in 2028. In the meantime, take a little extra time for your trips (and a hint of patience).
