TomTom unveils its latest urban congestion barometer
The most famous developer of navigation systems has reviewed the cities with the smoothest traffic flow. In its latest TomTom Traffic Index, it looked at 387 cities in 55 countries on 6 continents to determine their average travel time, fuel costs, and CO2 emissions.
Lille, an excellent student, is among the cities with the least traffic in France
Contrary to what many of our readers might think, it is much easier to drive in the urban area of Lille than anywhere else in France. Out of 25 major French cities, Lille ranks among the top cities with the least traffic congestion.According to their traffic, Lille is... 23rd! Which makes it one of the cities with the least congestion. An average trip in Lille takes 14 minutes compared to 27 minutes in Bordeaux or Paris. In total, the people in Lille spent 47 hours in traffic in 2023, while our friends in Bordeaux (as you may have guessed, they are at the top of the list) spent 111 hours... Source.
