A festival that’s making its mark (and already setting the tone for the beginning of the year)

Every year, Series Mania is a highly anticipated event in Lille, attracting thousands of people for a week (108K spectators in 2025!). With sneak previews, international guests, ceremonies, masterclasses, and meet-ups… the festival draws in all kinds of people. For 2026, the gears are already in motion, with a well-oiled calendar: pass sales opening in early February, official announcements in mid-February, followed by a gradual build-up until ticket sales open in early March. In other words, you’ll need to be quick!

Tickets, passes, and key dates: jot it all down!

No surprise here, the Series Mania passes will be offered in limited quantity. The first tickets will go on sale on February 4 at 12:30 PM, before the regular ticket sales begin session by session on March 9. The opening and closing ceremonies will, as always, have specific time slots, with a few final tickets released just days before the festival kicks off.

Friendly tip: if you really want to catch those highly anticipated series or attend exceptional screenings, you’ll need to be on your toes.

The Festival Village, always at the heart of the experience

It’s hard to imagine Series Mania without its Festival Village by Crédit Mutuel. This is where the festival comes alive all day long: activities, meetings, workshops, screenings, exhibitions… even without a ticket, it’s a must-visit spot.

And this year, the Village promises to become an even bigger hotspot for fun…acute;rence for series fans, with a large immersive exhibition designed as a complete experience.

Evil characters, thrills, and pop culture: the exhibit that’s going to spark conversations

Titled « Not Even Scared! : The Passion for Villains », the grand 2026 exhibition tackles a universal theme: our fascination with antagonists. From childhood monsters to chilling figures of adulthood, the exhibit offers a journey that...narrative and sensory experience through over 80 cult series.

But it’s hard not to see a clear nod to a global phenomenon: Stranger Things. Since the very talked-about ending of its last season, the series has established itself as an absolute reference in terms of iconic villains, dark universes, and 80s pop nostalgia. Vecna, now a cult figure, perfectly embodies this new generation of “villains” that we analyze just as much as we fear.

Designed as an immersive maze, the exhibition will alternate between interactive devices, visual installations, sensory experiences, and pop culture references. It will be marked by meetings, animations, and masterclasses, including one with Maxime Chattam, the exhibition's patron.

And to wrap things up: a special Stranger Things closing evening, billed as a heartfelt tribute to the series’ 80s aesthetic, will bring the week to a close.

Séries Mania, this isn’t just any event!

It's not just about the screenings

Beyond the projected series, the festival continues to nurture what makes it strong: the mix of audiences. Audiovisual professionals, volunteers, enthusiasts, families, passing visitors… Everyone mingles, chats, and discovers.

In fact, the call for volunteers has already been made, proving that the machine is well and truly in motion. Backstage, welcome teams, communication, Festival Village: a whole new way to experience Séries Mania from the inside.
