After three years of work, an iconic building in Lille is being reborn with a brand new project: the Rameau Palace. Once a temple of horticulture, it is now a place of innovation focused on urban agriculture and food. Bridging heritage and the future, here’s why you absolutely have to check it out.

Built in 1879, the Rameau Palace (a listed building) has seen it all: from flower exhibitions to concerts, dog shows to even a historical trial. Its architecture, a mix of brick and glass, gives it an incredible charm, and behind this retro facade, there’s a whole new...

A wonderful adventure is beginning.

Goodbye flower shows, hello innovation! This freshly renovated space is becoming a hub dedicated to agriculture and urban food. Here, you’ll meet students, researchers, and professionals working on the food of tomorrow, with experimental labs, training spaces, and a central nave that will host public events.

A future project in the heart of Lille

Led by Junia, the engineering school specializing in ecological and technological transitions, this transformation of the Palais Rameau makes the site a unique showcase in Europe. The goal? To imagine how to produce and consume more sustainably in the city. And as a bonus: the gardens, which have long been closed, will be accessible again.

A Grand Comeback

Supported by the Region and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), this project has mobilized 3 million euros to breathe new life into this unique place. With its fascinating past and futuristic ambitions, it's safe to say that the freshly revived Palais Rameau will be the talk of the town.

Whether you're a history buff, curious about innovation, or just looking for a unique setting for a stroll, this resurrected monument promises to share some wonderful (future) stories with us. And honestly, that would be a shame to miss out on!not to go take a look!
