An Olympic pool coming soon to your neighborhood

Lille is getting ready to welcome a piece of sports history: the warm-up pool for the Paris 2024 Olympics in Saint-Denis will be taken apart and rebuilt on Boulevard de Strasbourg in Lille. And it won’t just be for show. It will be a real 50-meter swimming pool with 10 lanes and 2 meters deep, ready to host schools, clubs, families, and who knows, maybe a few future medalists!

A pool designed for tomorrow

Eco-friendly, removable, reusable: this new pool has been envisioned to meet today's challenges. Enhanced insulation, natural ventilation, heat recovery… even the textile roof has been selected to minimize energy impact. Plus, the location will be super accessible, just a stone's throw from the metro Porte d’Arras, with 7 bus lines and bike paths planned in the project.

A grand opening planned for 2026

The pool will be dismantled in summer 2025, construction will start in the autumn, and the delivery is expected in spring 2026. This is great news for Lille swimmers who have been missing Marx Dormoy, as well as for everyone else eagerly awaiting a top-notch pool right in the heart of the city.
