For many Parisians, the metro is like a second home. In fact, many act as if they were at home. They put their feet up on the seats, play loud music, and carry on as if it's no big deal. But (surprisingly), some of these behaviors are actually not allowed! We've found the most current list of offenses punishable by Ilévia agents, aside from not having a ticket, and here it is! Regarding tickets, it's prohibited to: - use a ticket in unauthorized conditions, - use someone else's ticket, - forge or alter a ticket, - use an expired ticket, - transfer a ticket to another person, - fail to show a valid ticket when asked, - travel without a valid ticket, - misuse a ticket. Additional offenses include: - Possess transport media with a tampered or altered ticket that could aid in fraud, - Sell or give away transport media with a previously validated ticket for a fee, - Resell transport media with or without a ticket, - Interfere with the proper functioning of validators, ticket machines, gates, or ticket reload machines. About animals: Attention passengers! Just a friendly reminder that all animals are not allowed in the subway.

Forbidden items:

- Hey there! Just a quick reminder. No large packages allowed in the subway or tramway, so leave those bulky parcels at home!
  • Avoid bringing anything with a dimension exceeding 0.75 meters
  • Leave the scooters, shopping trolleys, and empty strollers at home
  • No bikes during rush hours, and absolutely no boarding or alighting at Lille Flandres Station
  • No dangerous materials, weapons, or infectious substances allowed on board

Etiquette in the metro:

  • Let's be considerate of others by not taking up extra seating with your belongings
  • No eating or drinking (except for water)
  • No false alarm signals, please!
  • Spitting is a big no-no
  • And remember, no sound devices without permission
In the metro, make sure not to use any devices or instruments to play music, and definitely don't put on any shows. Remember, sitting or lying on the ground is a no-go, and smoking or vaping is also a big no-no. And please, no begging or handing out flyers. Check out the full list of rules here! Enjoy your ride! 😊🎶
