If you feel like this season has been particularly wet, you're not dreaming. Météo France tells us that this autumn has seen precipitation levels 15% above seasonal norms. With particularly rainy months in September and October (+60% and +40%), the region has experienced weeks on end under a never-ending shower.

But that's not all: sunshine has also decided to take a break. With 15% less sunshine than average, the gloom has taken over, contributing to a dreary atmosphere for light lovers. Is it any wonder we've felt that little touch of autumn blues!

Soft temperatures as a consolation prize

Despite this weather that's straight out of a cliché about the North, an anomaly of +0.8 °C compared to seasonal norms has brought a bit of warmth. November, for instance, recorded an average temperature that's +1.1 °C higher. There were even days when we could skip the coat, which is quite surprising for this time of year!
