When the thermometer rises, all you want is to find a cool spot to catch your breath. This year, the City of Lille has decided to give a big boost to its residents. All summer long, the municipal swimming pools in Lille, Lomme, and Hellemmes will be accessible for… just 1 euro!
A measure against the heatwave and heatstroke
This decision was voted on at the last city council meeting and comes just in time. As episodes of extreme heat are becoming more frequent, local authorities are looking for ways to help residents enjoy summer in the city. The result: from June 22 to August 31, 2026, all municipal pools in Lille, Lomme, and Hellemmes will offer a special rate of 1 euro per entry for those over 6 years old. And for the little ones, swimming is completely free! It’s a great initiative for the wallet, especially when a family outing can quickly add up.
How to enjoy the 1 euro pools
?The process is super simple! To enjoy this discounted rate, all you need to do is present: a proof of residence from the last year in Lille, Lomme, or Hellemmes; or a Pass Sport, Pass Senior, or Pass Lille & Moi card. Once you've got that sorted, all that's left to do is put on your swimsuit and pick your favorite pool!

It's also worth noting that the Camille-Muffat pool will open in mid-July, while the Max-Dormoy pool will permanently close its doors on June 28, marking the end of an era for many regulars.
A summer with our feet in the water
With this measure, the municipal pools could very well become one of the hottest spots this summer in Lille. And honestly, it’s hard to find a better way to cool off when the temperatures rise. Between two heatwave days, a fun afternoon splashing around for just one euro? Count us in!
