The museums and cultural places in Lille are also gearing up for a Fiesta.
At the Gare Saint Sauveur, The Party: An Interior Experience invites you on a mesmerizing journey where light, sound, and movement recreate the energy of a crowd in a trance. At the Tripostal, Pom Pom Pidou, created in collaboration with the Centre Pompidou, reinterprets the history of modern art with a quirky tone and delightful surprises.
On its side, the Palais des Beaux-Arts immerses us in the grand celebrations of the past with Flemish Festivities and Celebrations, an exhibition that explores how Rubens, Brueghel, and Jordaens immortalized the festivities of the 16th and 17th centuries. The Museum of the Hospice continues the journey.Comtesse plays the cards of mystery and extravagance with The Distorted Party, where masks and disguises blur identities and awaken the imagination.
Lille reinvents itself as a festive and artistic city
No need to push open the doors of museums to experience Fiesta: the streets of Lille transform into a living work of art. Felice Varini sprinkles his giant optical illusions on the Palais des Beaux-Arts, while Marinella Senatore lights up the place Saint-Maurice. And what about Philippe Katerine, who promises a mural as quirky as his universe on the facade of La Voix du Nord?
And because the celebration knows no boundaries, Fiesta extends across the entire metropolitan area. In Roubaix, La Condition Publique will spotlight Oiseaux de nuit, a deep dive...
in alternative festive cultures, while Marcq-en-Barœul will host a photo exhibition on carnivals around the world.See this post on Instagram
