If we could pick just one name to remember for Series Mania right now, it would be Amanda Seyfried. The Oscar-winning actress will be in Lille to present Long Bright River, her highly anticipated dark thriller. But she won’t be the only one walking the red carpet: Audrey Fleurot, Alain Chabat, Thomas Ngijol, François Hollande (yes, yes), Pamela Adlon, Karin Viard, Camélia Jordana, and many others will be there… and other big surprises are expected to be announced very soon.
A festival that kicks off (very) strong

This year, it’s Apple TV+ who kicks things off with Carême, a historical epic about the first celebrity chef, featuring Benjamin Voisin and Jérémie Renier. On the other side of the week, we wrap it up beautifully with the world premiere of season 5 of HPI, in the presence of the queen Audrey Fleurot. Let's just say that Nouveau Siècle is going to be buzzing for this season of Séries Mania.
Series That Will Mark the Year

The 2025 edition promises selections that are sure to stir up conversation, with a strong theme surrounding geopolitical tensions and family dramas.
We're heading back to the 70s with The German, which explores the hunt for Nazi criminals, and the war in the former Yugoslavia with A Life’s Worth. More contemporary, The Deal takes us behind the ultra-secret negotiations on Iran's nuclear program, while Kabul recounts the chaotic evacuation of Westerners from Afghanistan in 2021.
On the introspection side, Querer discusses consent and marital rape, Generations tackles repressed family traumas, and Empathy follows a borderline psychiatrist in a penitentiary hospital. And for a bit of lightness (but not too much), The Rose Family revisits the family comedy… in a cannibal version. Yes, you read that right.
Masterclasses and conferences to top it all off

It's impossible to miss the major events of the festival! This year, Séries Mania pays tribute to David Lynch with a special masterclass on Twin Peaks led by Marine Delterme and Fabrice Gobert. The Ramadan series will also get a spotlight with Sofiane Zermani and Yahia Mouzahem, while François Hollande will come to analyze the portrayals of presidents in political series. One question remains: will there be spoilers?

The Village Festival is shaping up to be the epicenter of the festival, with lively evenings, trivia games, an immersive "Forever 90's" exhibition, meet-and-greets with voice actors, and even… a prom inspired by cult teen series (yes, you’ll get to vote for the festival king and queen!). To get everyone even more excited, a special Series Mania festival bus tour will be cruising through the Hauts-de-France starting February 21 to spread the hype all around the region.
