It seems like the people of Lille are passionate about culture! And here's the proof: during the past year, the Lille Museum of Fine Arts broke its attendance record with an incredible 380,979 visitors.
"The museum is attracting more and more visitors, with a 12% increase compared to 2022 (341,000 visitors) and a 28% increase compared to 2019, the reference year before the health crisis (297,610 visitors)."

And how do we explain this enthusiasm for the Palace of Fine Arts?
First of all, there are rich, modern temporary subjects and exhibitions that question our society or allow us to discover specific worlds, such as the exhibition on video games. In regards to the latter, the Open museum Video Game in collaboration with Ankama Studios is the one that has been the most successful with exactly 164,895 visitors.

But that's not all: the Palais des Beaux-Arts has offered even more free nocturnal events this year, some with animations and even DJ sets!
What can you expect in 2024?
For the year 2024, the Palais des Beaux-Arts is not taking it easy, and the program of temporary exhibitions already sounds exciting. Starting in April, you will have the opportunity to discover the exhibition "Monet in Vétheuil: the seasons of a life" (Apr 18th - Sept 24th, 2024) as part of the 150th anniversary of Impressionism 2024. And from October, a new exhibition will highlight the Renaissance with Raphael Experience!
