Since December 17, Lille has been hosting an immersive experience that offers just that: to step right into the Napoleonic era as if you were really there, right in the city center.
When Napoleon Comes to Life… in Virtual Reality
Set up at Follow Park, in the heart of the Les Tanneurs shopping center, Napoleon, the Immersive Epic presents a virtual reality experience to bring one of the most fascinating figures in history back to life. For about thirty minutes, with your VR headset on, you can wander freely through iconic scenes: the war council before Austerlitz, cavalry charges, the icy debacle of the Berezina, or even the final days on Saint Helena.

Reading panels: Napoleon speaks to you, takes you along with him, and immerses you in his choices, his victories as well as his downfalls. The little extra is that the visual and sound universe has been designed to be as impressive as it is educational.
A New Generation Cultural Outing in Lille
The experience lasts around 40 minutes, with a solid half-hour of total immersion. Just long enough to feel completely absorbed without losing interest. Suitable for ages 8 and up, it’s sure to attract both history buffs and anyone looking for a unique outing in Lille, perfect for families or friends.
