Let's be honest: finding a place where parents and kids can enjoy themselves together can sometimes feel like an obstacle course. On one hand, there are coffee shops where strollers block the path, and on the other, there are play areas where the coffee feels more like a punishment than a reward. Fortunately, a new spot in the Lille metropolitan area has decided to bring everyone together.

A café designed for kids, but also for parents

Located at 525 rue de Lannoy in Villeneuve-d'Ascq, right next to Hem, Little Cécile Café opened its doors at the end of May with a simple idea: to create a place where the whole family can feel at home.

Here, children have a real play area designed for climbing, exploring, and having fun all on their own while parents can finally relax for a few minutes over coffee or lunch. The place has been thoughtfully designed to make life easier for families: high chairs, changing tables, spaces tailored for the littlest ones... You can quickly feel that this venue was imagined by people who understand the joys (and sometimes the challenges) of daily life with kids.

From Breakfast to After Work

But Little Cécile Café is not just a simple kids' café. In the morning, we gather for a coffee, a latte, or some homemade treats. At noon, it’s all about bowls, bruschettas, and light plates. In the afternoon, cookies and pastries naturally take over for snack time. And the great thing is that the place completely changes its vibe in the evening. On Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, when the kids are tucked in, the café...It transforms into a friendlier space with cocktails, sharing platters, and afterworks for adults. A rather clever way to bring the place to life at different times of the day.

Workshops for the little ones... and sometimes for the grown-ups

Another great thing about Little Cécile is its programming. Throughout the year, the café hosts workshops on parenting, yoga, free motor skills, parent meet-ups, and even activities...

Activities for kids! Among the first offerings, there are fun free movement sessions for little ones, organized right in the café.

A giant store right next door

And as if that wasn't enough, the café is directly connected to the new Little Cécile store. With nearly 200 m² of space, you'll find a carefully curated selection of games, toys, decor, childcare products, and gift ideas for both little ones and grown-ups. It's quite a unique hybrid space in the m&.Lille metropolis, halfway between a coffee shop, a play area, a concept store, and a family-friendly hangout. Perfect for filling a rainy Wednesday, enjoying a weekend brunch, or taking a well-deserved coffee break after a busy morning.
