If you’re looking for an activity that’s a step away from the usual playgrounds, this one checks all the boxes! In Villeneuve-d’Ascq, Le Chapelier Fou offers a unique concept: a 400 m² immersive play park where kids hop from one cabin to another to solve a big, life-sized treasure hunt. Honestly, with the beautifully crafted decorations and the puzzles, even the parents might get caught up in the fun!

Six magical universes to explore

Here, there are no screens or timed pathways. Kids roam freely in six themed cabins, each inspired by fantastic worlds: pirates, Merlin the Enchanter, Alice in Wonderland, a magical aquarium, the golden goose… Each space hides its little details: secret passages, climbable walls, slides, costumes, a ball pit, and suspended nets for reading or relaxing. The decor has been entirely hand-crafted by its creator, with great care taken in the materials, colors, and cozy corners that spark the imagination.

A treasure hunt from the age of 3

The true heart of the concept is, of course, the treasure hunt. Children follow age-appropriate clues, navigate through different worlds, and collect hints to try to unlock the final chest. A great idea: there are several scenarios available based on age, with six different hunts from ages 3 to 11, allowing for a return visit without experiencing the same adventure again. All of this takes place in 2-hour slots, perfect for giving enough time to explore, play, and solve mysteries without rushing.

A spot also designed for birthdays

The place also offers a snack corner, a shop, board games, and especially private rooms that can be booked for birthdays. Plus, creative workshops can be reserved: book-making, stop motion, hands-on activities…
