As Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais, it is with joy and enthusiasm that she makes a wonderful torchbearer in Lille. Interviewed by Nord Info, she explains: "I am very honored to have been invited to participate in this unique event. The relay of the Olympic flame is a moment of escape, a little bubble outside of time during which everyone comes together. I was lucky to witness the lighting of the cauldron in La RĂ©union, where my mother comes from and where part of my family lives. So when I think that soon I will be holding the flame in the North, where everything started for me, it's like completing the circle. And it's a way to thank all the people who have supported me and allowed me to be who I am today."
In any case, we will all be there to accompany her! Eve Gilles continues by asking the people of Lille: "The passing of the flame, it will be pure happiness. It doesn't matter if it rains, in the North. We are used to it (laughs) and even if the weather is not good, it will be great." Go Eve!
