A 100% kids-friendly project, created by the kids themselves
No adult chatter making decisions for you. It's the kids who create the label: they designed the questionnaire, drew the logo, chose the name, and most importantly, they actually evaluate the places in the Fives neighborhood. This citizen lab, led by sociologist Clément Rivière, is making the metropolis a truly kid-friendly city.

Testing, improving, and pointing out the best spots for kids
The certified places aren't chosen randomly. We make sure that the welcome is great, the restrooms are suitable, and that little ones can play and even call their parents if needed. And if there are any hiccups, we lend a helping hand and offer advice for improvement. It's a real boost for a more inclusive city!
Where to find these gems? For now, Fives is leading the way
Thanks to the collaboration between the City, the local association Les Potes en Ciel, and the Lakanal and Descartes schools, there are already 9 public places (library, educational farm, children's café, etc.) and 7 businesses (bar-restaurant, cooperative, bakery, pharmacy, etc.) proudly displaying the "Children's Paradise" sticker. A map will soon be available for easy navigation!

The city hall invites all establishments to apply for the label. Want to be part of this adventure? It's easy: fill out the form and send it to paradisdesenfants@mairie-lille.fr. The children will come to audit you. No pressure, just fun!
Why it's great for Lille
For 20 years, Lille has been working to give children a voice and make the city fit their needs. This new label is the cherry on top of a recognized inclusive policy by UNICEF. A real gentle revolution to make Lille a city where young and old live in harmony.
