The Marriage of Figaro, La Traviata, Carmen... The opera world is truly magnificent, even if it may seem a little intimidating at first. And let's be real, snuggling up in a cozy plush seat with red velvet while listening to emotional melodies can sometimes be a bit pricey. But fear not, my dear friends! Once again this year, Tous à l'Opéra is back for a spring weekend. From May 3 to 5, nearly 29 French opera houses will open their doors for free to anyone who wants to come. The opera teams are more determined than ever to welcome a diverse audience to discover the magic of the opera world. The weekend will be full of various free and accessible activities for everyone: public rehearsals, concerts, costume and makeup workshops, backstage tours, and opportunities to meet professionals. Led by the famous star dancer from the Ballet de l'Opéra national de Paris, Guillaume Diop, the 17th edition of Everyone to the Opera! will be themed "Team Spirit". This theme will reflect the values of the 2024 Olympics. "Each production presented in an opera house, whether it's a lyrical or choreographic performance, workshops, tours, etc., is the result of a collective effort to serve all audiences. It involves a diverse range of talents and skills dedicated to excellence, from skilled craftsmen to passionate artists. Join us for a weekend of culture, friendship, and unforgettable experiences.""Experiences at the opera! Partnership to artistic practice, encompassing all activities contributing to the realization of this unique moment that is the performance of the show. Note that the Lille Opera is organizing the Happy Day on May 12 after the Everyone to the Opera event! Opera for Everyone From May 3 to 5, 2024 More info.
