The Editor

Every spring, the Château de Grand-Bigard, near Brussels, transforms into a true floral paradise with Floralia Brussels, a vast floral exhibition that attracts flower lovers, weekend photographers, and anyone who just needs a springtime boost. And here's the great news: the 2026 edition is already underway and can be visited until May 3rd.

A Million Flowers in a Burst of Colors

We’re talking about over a million hand-planted bulbs, spread throughout the private park of the castle. Yes, a million! That’s some serious competition for your supermarket bouquet. Tulips, daffodils, hyacinths… the paths, the woodlands, and the big flower beds are bursting with colors in a truly cinematic atmosphere.

The place is especially known for its iconic installations:
🌷 a huge heart made of red tulips
🌷 a multicolored floral maze
🌷 carpets of flowers beneath ancient trees
🌷 perfectly designed flower beds around the castle

Clearly, if your spring photo roll isn’t filled yet, it’s about to be very soon!

A perfect spring outing near Lille

The best part of Floralia Brussels is that you can stroll at your own pace in a vast private park that is rarely accessible the rest of the year. You don't need to be a botany enthusiast to enjoy it: people mainly come here to wander, get some fresh air, admire the scenery, and enjoy the feeling of having escaped from daily life for a few hours. And at just 1 hour and 20 minutes from Lille, it’s definitely one of the best outing ideas right now for a sunny Sunday, a romantic getaway, or a family walk that offers a nice change from the usual spots. A little bonus: the blooming evolves with the weeks, featuring early, mid-season, and late varieties, so each visit can be slightly different.

Attention, this is only until May 3rd

Like every year, Floralia Brussels lasts only a few weeks in spring. A short but truly spectacular experience. The park is open every day from 10 AM to 6 PM, and the event won't return until the next spring. In other words: if you were planning to wait for "next weekend," now is probably the time to book.
