Every year, we share with you our delicious tips to enhance your end-of-year celebrations. And this time, we suggest taking a closer look at the Van Den Casteele glacier, which offers ice creams made in Hauts-de-France. We'd rather dive right in: you're going to drool.

Why are we talking about Van Den Casteele? Simply because it comes from our region and as the European Region of Gastronomy 2023, it is good to talk about the expertise of our artisans. For over 45 years, these ice cream makers have been delighting the Hauts-de-France region. Its origins are in a small village in the North: Saint-Sylvestre-Cappel. And the specialty of the house? Only frozen desserts! Its reputation is now well established: whether it's summer desserts or Christmas desserts, food enthusiasts can't get enough!

And since the holidays are sacred, Van Den Casteele does not skimp on its festive selection with no less than 45 Christmas products. Want to know what you can order for this end of 2023? Let's give you an overview.

First of all (and because it's our favorite), let's talk right away about Christmas cakes. Shaped like stars, Santa boots, nativity scenes, or even Santa's house: these frozen cakes are simply stunning. And let's be honest, you will definitely make an impression if you put one of these creations on the table at the end of the meal. Vanilla, meringue, red fruits or chocolate, the flavors vary as much as the selection! 

For those who prefer the traditional, a wide selection of ice cream logs are also on the menu. You can choose between 6 or 12 servings depending on the number of guests at your table. Various flavors are available to take you on a delicious journey: Colombian, Tropical, Grand Nord, Flemish, or even Martinican... The hardest part is deciding!

Finally, for those with smaller stomachs, you can opt for individual desserts (skewers, ice cream cups, mini cakes...) or even for adorable frozen treats. In short, no matter what choice you make, there is always one undeniable thing: desserts are as good as they are aesthetically pleasing.

Also worth noting (because it's important to emphasize) that Van Den Casteele ONLY uses high quality raw materials, favoring, when possible, short supply chains such as whole milk from a farm 2 km away from the production workshop. They also use carefully selected premium products like Madagascar Vanilla and pure cocoa butter Chocolate...
