Ahhh, these oyster bars, we love them but it's true that in Lille, we're not spoiled for choice. There's Boyster, and this winter, we even had the amazing Lille aux Huîtres stand at the Christmas market. With its success, this little gem is opening in Old Lille in beach bar mode! It's like a touch of Arcachon in the capital of Flanders!

Lille aux Huîtres is setting up shop at Place du Lion D'Or, in the cellar of Glaz (6 place du Lion d'Or), the Breton canteen of Old Lille. In addition to offering a range of Brittany oysters to pair with white wine, the bar also serves tapas. The special thing about it? This hidden bar, sheltered from view, is transformed into a beach bar with real sand beneath your feet! "In a hidden beach bar spirit, away from prying eyes, you can find the Brittany oysters from Lille aux Huîtres that you discovered at Lille's Christmas market last December. Before you can enjoy them again for the end-of-year festivities at Place Rihour, you can savor them with your feet in the sand as if at the sea, in a cozy and warm atmosphere right in the heart of Old Lille," we are told.
