Well, because the 36th edition of the International Kite Festival is happening, of course! It's going to be a blast, with kite flyers from all over coming together to showcase their amazing creations. From funny flying machines to majestic dragons, there will be something for everyone to enjoy. The program is jam-packed with exciting events that will surely leave you in awe. This year, it will be the 1st edition of "THE WORLD KITE CUP BERCK-SUR-MER"
A little something new this year and quite a big deal as we will have the chance to witness the very first edition of a global competition: The World Kite Cup Berck-sur-mer! In total, 10 national teams from all around the world will compete to have their name engraved on the highly coveted trophy: France, Germany, Spain, England, the Netherlands, the United States, Canada, Colombia, China, and Taiwan. The competition will consist of 5 events during which the teams will perform choreographed routines to music, from Monday 22nd to Friday 26th of April, in the afternoon starting at 2:00pm.
Pilots are gearing up to showcase their skills, precision, and team camaraderie. They will dazzle audiences with breathtaking performances in the competition for the prestigious Acrobatic Kite Flying World Champion title.
