In the summer, there are festivals where you can enjoy a whole string of concerts. And then there are those where you can easily spend the entire day without realizing how time flies. That’s exactly the promise of Fluctuations, taking over the Jardins du Colysée in Lambersart for three delightful days. Picture a setting by the Deûle river, a barge transformed into the main stage, and a lineup that blends music, interactions, workshops, and good vibes.
A festival that makes you want to spend the whole day outdoors
It's impossible to sum up Fluctuations as just a series of concerts. Here, everything is designed like a big summer village where you can arrive at noon, have lunch on the terrace, attend a roundtable discussion, take part in a workshop, discover local creators… and then wrap up the evening with a DJ set as the sun sets. All this in the lush surroundings of the Jardins du Colysée, with the Deûle right beside you and the Urban Boat, the famous Lille cultural barge, as the vibrant heart of the festival.

More than 30 artists over three days
On the music front, the lineup flows between electro, pop, live performances, and DJ sets with over thirty artists spread across two stages. Among the anticipated names are Calling Marian, Déborah Aime La Bagarre, Claude Emmanuelle, Comala Radio, Léo Von Zbeul, Jeannette & MAJ, not forgetting La Ballroom Lilloise, which promises an impressive Kiki Ballle on Saturday with performances, parades, dancing, and artistic confrontations in an utterly electrifying atmosphere.
So much more than just music
What makes Fluctuations unique is its daytime programming. A dozen round tables will discuss topics like ecology, feminism, democracy, and biodiversity, alongside around fifteen participatory workshops open to everyone. The festival also features a Village of Solutions, where about thirty associations, artisans, illustrators, and creators will showcase their projects in a friendly atmosphere.

Families are not forgotten
Great news if you're coming with kids: there’s a genuine mini-festival just for them! On the agenda: wooden games, face painting, storytime, creative workshops, seed bombs, a reading corner, shows, and activities all weekend long. This way, parents can enjoy the festival too!
Food court, fresh beers, and sunset over the Deûle
It's hard to imagine a summer festival without some tasty breaks. Several vegetarian and vegan food stalls will be there, along with a big bar offering craft beers, soft drinks, and refreshing beverages. Let's just say that between concerts, it's tough to find a better spot to enjoy a summer evening by the water.
