This is THE new exhibition that will jazz up your summer in Lille! Starting on July 3rd, a museum of illusion will open its doors right in the city center not far from the train station. What can you expect? Immersive worlds that will completely shake up your senses!

After conquering the cities of Toronto, Dubai, New York, Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Bordeaux, and many others, the famous Museum of Illusions is finally establishing itself in Lille between the 2 train stations. More than 70 illusions, as fun as they are mind-boggling, will be offered, not to mention new features to discover exclusively in Lille! That sounds enticing! Starting from July 3rd, this sensational exhibition will turn your perception and habits upside down.

Ideally located between the two train stations, the Museum of Illusion promises tons of surprises. Get ready to be turned upside down during this immersive dive.

"The Museum of Illusion is a unique place that offers visual and interactive experiences to deceive our perception of reality. Optical illusions, mirror games, trompe l'oeil, and sensory challenges are activities that allow visitors to learn more about the mysteries of our brain and test their senses. Immersed, they can, for example, walk in an infinite room, walk on a ceiling, defy the laws of gravity, or even take photos with amazing optical illusions..."

Without giving too much away, here are some hints about what you'll see there:

  • a hall of mirrors
  • a three-dimensional universe created by the Vortex Tunnel
  • an upside-down room

  • holograms

  • optical illusions...

For each illusion, an explanation is provided to understand why our brain assimilates certain information by distorting it. The goal: break the codes!
