Until July 22nd, discover at Louvre-Lens an exhibition on underground worlds! It offers a unique exploration of these worlds that have fueled our imaginations since ancient times. Sometimes scary, sometimes enchanting, the worlds hidden beneath the earth are fascinating!
"From dark depths to mythical worlds, to the vibrant universes of underground cultures, the reality of underground spaces is diverse. These 20,000 leagues under the earth, explored by speleologists, miners, or metro users, also captivate literature and cinema. Through a journey of over 200 works open to arts from all eras and civilizations, from Gustave Doré's engravings to the poetic sculptures of Éva Jospin, the exhibition invites you on a fabulous journey from darkness to light."
