If you’ve been tired of waiting for the weekend for your avocado toast, we’ve got the best news for you: at Calico Café, you can enjoy brunch from morning till night, 7 days a week. The trio behind the project: Aïka, Luca, and Fabio (who has traveled from Melbourne to Boston, and you can really taste that in the dishes).
Get ready for hearty English breakfasts, a smoky shakshuka, a comforting Turkish egg, and of course, customizable avocado toasts done Aussie-style. And for something sweet? Don’t worry, they’ve got plenty to satisfy your sweet tooth. Cookies, banana bread, homemade brownies… all available in vegan, gluten-free, and no added sugar versions too!

Coffee, but with a Rockstar Twist
Aïka has made coffee her specialty, and it shows: espresso Muda, latte, iced coffee, matcha, espresso tonic, and signature coffees are all on the menu. Whether you're a purist or just enjoy a good cup, you’ll be won over. And if coffee isn’t your thing, you can always opt for a kombucha, a fresh juice, a local beer, or even a little glass of wine.

A Cozy and Hybrid Spot
Located at the former site of Petit Bétret, Calico Café sets up a decor that makes you want to stay until snack time: wooden counters, white tiles, industrial touches, green plants, and a future terrace with 18 seats that promises sunny coffee breaks. Inside, there are 17 cozy spots to work, brunch, or chat.
And for a cheeky little nod: the name “Calico” comes from Calico Jack, a legendary pirate... the first to include a woman in his crew. Pretty stylish for a café in Lille, huh?
