An institution in Vieux-Lille that’s being revitalized

The Beerstro is that brasserie-restaurant that’s well-known to the locals. Tucked away on Rue du Pont Neuf, right in the heart of Vieux-Lille, it has welcomed generations of friends ready to enjoy a welsh or a craft beer. But this year brings a fresh vibe: the place has changed hands. Anna and her husband Jacques, a passionate couple, have taken over with one idea in mind: to bring homemade back to the heart of the plate.

And you can really taste it: fish & chips made with real cod, homemade fries cooked in beef fat, house-made sauces, and carefully crafted desserts…you get the idea. Even the classic brasserie dishes are getting a youthful twist. For summer plates, you can enjoy Italian tartare, an ultra-fresh Norwegian salad, a delicious falafel burger, and a chef’s dessert we already love: the pistachio tart.

The perfect spot for a terrace happy hour

What's the best part about Beerstro? Its spacious terrace, a bit tucked away behind the restaurant, partially covered, partially open to the sky. It’s a lovely spot to hang out with a 25 (or more). For drinks, beer lovers will be thrilled: a selection of craft beers you can serve yourself thanks to a rechargeable card system, plus a few great non-alcoholic discoveries (Lil 0%, Kasteel red 0%, and even a non-alcoholic gin liqueur London mule that's perfect for summer).

As a bonus: the restaurant is open every day, and the kitchen stays open all afternoon (so you can order fries from noon to 11 PM, we won't judge you!). The address is also available for private events like birthdays, afterworks, or bachelor/bachelorette parties, or for a good time with family or friends around board games provided.
