A reinvented myth for our time at Parvis Saint-Jean

With Taire, Tamara Al Saadi presents a fresh interpretation of the famous myth of Antigone, tailored to the concerns of today's teenagers. The play explores the intertwined fates of two young girls: one living in a mythological world, the other facing the harsh realities of contemporary life, marked by the fractures of childhood. A moving story that questions how the voices of children and women are often stifled.

Supported by a refined and subtle staging, this creation combines theater, dance, and live music. The enchanting performance by Lebanese musician Bachar Mar-Khalifé, with his singing and instruments, literally transports the audience to another world. Not to mention an exceptional sound effects performance, which brings attention to a profession often in the shadows and enhances every scene. We love it!
