Last week: Dijon in postcard mode

Did you feel that sunshine? From Wednesday to Sunday, Dijon was flirting with the perfect weather. With blue skies, terrace happy hours, and temperatures flirting with 20°C, you could almost think that spring had decided to give us a long hug. Sunglasses were out, coats tucked away, and the vibe on the streets felt like a holiday. Honestly, we couldn’t have dreamed of anything better.

But as is often the case in Burgundy… it couldn’t last.

This week: clouds take back control

Starting this Monday, May 19th, we're gently coming down from our cloud (literally). While the beginning of the week tries to hold on with some light and temperatures around 17°C, the rest is a bit chilly. From Thursday onwards, the clouds are back in full force, along with persistent showers, a chilly wind, and mercury that’s staying put (think 14 to 16°C max during the day).Gloomy for late May.

As for the weekend? Mixed, according to Météo France, in the best case scenario. A soaked Saturday, a shaky Sunday, and there you are, hesitating between heading out anyway or binge-watching your favorite series under a blanket.

Rain and gray skies? Dijon always has something to lift your spirits

We’re not going to let you cry alone in the rain. Here are a few ideas to stay warm and in a good mood:

  • Brave the raindrops like a foodie: craving some comfort? Go and try one of the all-you-can-eat buffets in Dijon; it warms both body and soul.
  • Cozy up on a covered terrace (yes, they exist): even when it rains, some Dijon spots stay cozy. We’ve even listed the trendiest terraces for chilling without getting wet.
  • Head out anyway: this Sunday, May 25th, an outdoor concert is scheduled Places en Musique at the Square des Ducs. Bring an umbrella and your most beautiful smile, the vibe will be there no matter what happens.

In summary: the weather might look gloomy, but you stay fabulous. And who knows, a ray of sunshine might just peek out between the showers. Dijon is like that: unpredictable but never boring.
