A fun and supportive race is coming to the Colombière Park: what is the Blue Run?
We can see you already furrowing your brow: Blue Run, what’s that? Well, it’s THE charity race that’s going to light up the paths of Colombière Park on Sunday, March 2, 2025, thanks to the students of Junior Est Service Santé (JESS). These future fifth-year pharmacists have traded their lecture halls for running shoes to organize this very first edition. The goal? To support Blue March, the month dedicated to awareness and screening for colorectal cancer.
All proceeds will go to the Georges-François Leclerc Center (CGFL), which fights against cancer every day here in Dijon. You run, you walk, and you might just save some lives. Honestly, it doesn’t get much better than that for a Sunday, right?
Why is this cause so important?
Colorectal cancer is the second deadliest cancer in France. But, if caught early, it's treatable in 9 out of 10 cases. Screening and raising awareness are incredibly powerful tools! Starting at age 50, a quick and free test is available every two years. It’s a simple gesture that can save lives. Need more info? The Georges-François Leclerc Center has all the details on screening.
The Blue Run in Dijon, how does it happen concretely?
On Sunday, March 2, 2025, the race will start at 10 am at the entrance of the Colombière park. You can pick up your race bib starting at 9 am.
Two options are available to you:

- The 2.5 km walk, for those who love chatting in the great outdoors
No need for a medical certificate (phew, no excuses), just good shoes and a desire to have fun. And since the organizers thought of everything, each participant will leave with a tote bag, a t-shirt, a pin, and a Blue Run neck warmer. Classy for your next jog, right?
