The model, who was noticed in Gone Girl in 2014, announced last year that she would put an end to her acting career, tired of being seen as a "piece of meat" by producers and audiences. An outdated position, perhaps thanks to the feminist commitments of Lena Dunham, at the helm of Too Much. Negotiations are still ongoing, but everything seems to indicate that she will be part of the cast. To complete the cast, Megan Stalter, recently seen in the poignant La Vie rêvée de Miss Fran, and Will Sharpe, known for his role in the second season of The White Lotus.
The rom-com of a New Yorker expatriate in London
Nothing too original on the script side, Too Much will be a good old-fashioned romantic comedy.romantic comedy à la Netflix. It will follow the journey of Jessica (Megan Stalter), a workaholic New Yorker with a broken heart, who decides to leave everything behind to fly to London and start anew. There she will meet Felix (Will Sharpe), her musician and party-loving roommate towards whom she feels drawn, and his ex-girlfriend, her complete opposite, Polly. A love story for disillusioned expats, told in 10 half-hour episodes, written by Lena Dunham with the help of her husband, Luis Felber.
The series does not have a release date yet. Note that the director is also working on a film Polly Pocket, following the sugary trail of
Lily Collins will star as Polly Pocket in Mattel’s upcoming movie about the doll.
