Timeleft Bordeaux: Hello Stranger Timeleft fights against urban loneliness in large cities by organizing dinners between strangers every Wednesday night in Bordeaux. Personalities are matched thanks to an algorithm that creates tables of 6 people based on detected affinities. With over 800 strangers joining the game each week and already 2,350 tables reserved, Timeleft continues the adventure and continues to expand to create unexpected and sincere connections. Its target audience? Active individuals aged 30 to 50 years old.

Fighting urban loneliness & reconnecting to the world

"Meeting strangers is like reading books, it opens up to stories and new horizons. Sitting at a table with strangers and having a good time makes us realize that the world we live in is not as dangerous as we think." These are the words of Maxime Barbier, the founder.

The business model is as follows: 1 trial ticket for €12.99 and then a monthly subscription for €19.99 which allows for up to 4-5 dinners in a month. The dinner experience is as follows, once the person has booked their spot:
  • Tuesday at 7:00 pm: they receive different information about the strangers at their table the next day on their app(astrological signs, professional sectors, nationalities, etc).
  • Wednesday at 9:00 am: she receives the address of the restaurant where she is expected that same evening at 8:00 pm.
  • Wednesday at 8:00 pm: she is expected at a restaurant and has an assigned table. An easel is placed on the table with her number as well as a QR code that gives access to questions to help participants break the ice if needed.
  • Wednesday at 11:30 pm: she has the opportunity to rate her experience (personality match, service + food at the restaurant, quality/price ratio) and to leave a testimonial.
