Whether you've been a Bordelais for years or just a few weeks, integration is key. And to truly blend in with the locals, what better way than to master some typical insults to show your friends who's boss. Here are 10 expressions straight from our neck of the woods to use in case of emergency.

1 - You, you're a real goofball! It means: you're an idiot (pronounce the "t" at the end). 2 - Go shit yourself, or go take a dump. It means: go poop (the proximity with Spain plays a role). 3 - Eel head. It means: asshole (the eel is literally the anguilla from our region). 4 - Slowpoke. It means: someone slow, lacking dynamism, who's lost their edge (derived from the word cagouille in Charentais dialect). 5 - Idiot. It means: dimwit or clumsy at best. 6 - It's going to end in a fight. It means: it's going to end in a brawl. 7 - Oh my goodness, I'm going to bite you. It means: oh damn, I'm going to bite you. 8 - I'm going to smack you around. It means: I'm going to give you a beating. 9 - Stop acting stupid. It means: stop being silly. 10 - A Parisian (or Toulousian)
