180 hectares of exceptional environment
Located on the Arcachon basin, just a few kilometers from the famous Dune du Pilat, this little slice of paradise between land and sea stretches over 180.20 km², which is much more than the area of the Gironde capital that covers 121 km². Iconic in the Arcachon basin, La Teste de Buch is home to several picturesque gems such as the Dune du Pilat, the Banc d'Arguin, its preserved pine forests, and its vast ocean beaches.

Between preserved nature and vibrant local life
Why is it so vast, you might ask? Because it's the result of merging several neighborhoods that has created a commune of impressive proportions: Pyla-sur-Mer, Cazaux, and the bustling center of La Teste with its oyster port and large market. This lively paradise, active year-round, attracts both sea lovers and water sports enthusiasts, while also providing a pleasant living environment thanks to its many walking and cycling paths.
