Unbelievable but true... The record for the largest porcini mushroom found in Gironde has just been broken in the heart of the Val de l'Eyre forest, 50 minutes from the city.

Info revealed by Actu Bordeaux. In the woods of Val de l'Eyre, just a few kilometers from Bordeaux, Quentin Chevereau made an original discovery while walking his dog. The 25-year-old man stumbled upon a giant cep of 4.7 kilos. The specimen, which could well be the largest ever picked in France, was hidden at the foot of an oak tree.
