One might think that this is too much. And that at some point, the quality of the establishment suffers. Be reassured, this new 4-star hotel has light on all floors. And on the top floor, the highlight, a rooftop pool with an Italian restaurant. For now, it is only for hotel guests, but in the future, it could host events and maybe even day packages. The hotel is called Renaissance, and it opened its doors a few days ago. Light! 😊

It's been a while since the Bassins de Lumières stepped out of the shadows and into the light. Proof of this is the installation of the large hotel group Marriott, which has already opened the doors of its younger sibling just a few meters away. The Renaissance, on the other hand, is a futuristic 4-star luxury hotel built in the 35-meter high old grain silos of the Bassins à Flots, designed by the COSA Colboc Sachet Architecture agency. Just its entrance is spectacular and even mystical. It occupies two of the eight silos preserved from the oil mill activity of the 9th century. Gina: the delicious face of the Renaissance

Café shop in the garden, restaurant, bar and rooftop pool, with architecture and design that are top-notch: the 4-star hotel with 149 rooms (fully equipped with Dyson appliances, Nespresso machine, and more) ticks all the boxes for exceptional. Add to that the Italian flavors of the Gina concept on the rooftop and it's a Dolce Vita that flirts with the Garonne river. Gina, the second face of the Renaissance hotel, emerges as the most gourmet entity in Bordeaux. This al dente address welcomes guests from breakfast to the last cocktail of the evening. On the menu, you'll find a mozzarella tasting: burrata, bufala, stracciatella, impressive antipasti platters, pizzas, and other classics of the best trattorias prepared by Chef Giuseppe Petraroli in front of his open kitchen. A Sky Pool over the Garonne like in our dreams

It's a unique privilege in Bordeaux. Swimming above the city with a view of its most beautiful monuments. The swimming pool of the Renaissance hotel is located on the rooftop level, on the 9th floor of the building. This " suspended pool", heated in part thanks to energy from the kitchens, is open to guests throughout the year. It offers a postcard view with highlights such as the Aquitaine Bridge, the Wine City, and the Jacques Chaban Delmas Bridge, in a seaside atmosphere, skillfully designed by interior architect Michael Malapert. To complete the relaxation after a swim, an area with 3 Jacuzzis invites you to enjoy the panorama for longer.

Currently, you need to be a hotel guest to enjoy it. But the communication team tells us that plaunch on ideas of events and formulas allowing to welcome the people of Bordeaux for occasional visits. It is even rumored (and especially in our wildest fantasies) that formulas "brunch + cocktails + pool" for the day could be launched. The winning combo, which plunges us into happiness at its peak.
