Stephane Domenger, a Basque restaurateur, arrived in Bordeaux 4 years ago. Today, at the head of 2 restaurants (soon to be 3), the hyperactive entrepreneur is full of ideas to make his place known. The latest news? The happy hours, renamed "Happy After Hour" for the occasion, start in the second part of the evening. Every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, from 10:30 pm to 1 am, cocktails (Gin Tonic, Mule, and Spritz) are only 6€. Interesting, isn't it?

A typical French brasserie where it's good to eat

For those who don't know it yet, the New-York New-York is one of the oldest brasseries in the city. Every day, it delights the people of Bordeaux from noon to night with authentic French cuisine and fresh products. The menu is constantly changing, according to the chef's whims and the market's arrivals. There's no question of sticking to the same recipes, they change regularly and the flavors honor the 4 corners of the globe with a preference for French specialties.

The lunch menu (very generous) starter/main course/dessert is priced at 18€. Count 15€ for starter/main course or main course/dessert and 12€ for the dish of the day. Between the sea bass ceviche, sweet potato guacamole, coconut, pickled red onion, leche tigre, pomegranate & peanuts, the classic 400g baked Mont d'Or, smoked bacon tuile, grilled bread with sage oil oRoasted vegetables, parsnip chips, pickles, and tahini vinaigrette for the vegetarian version... We just can't decide. Add to that an impressive list of 150 wines and signature or classic cocktails to shake things up.

Rated 5 stars on TripAdvisor

If it was bought as it is 2 years ago, Stéphane did not skimp on efforts to modernize the place. While keeping its soul of a typical neighborhood brasserie and the codes that are unique to it. Which give the place its charm. The setting is stunning: warm colors, frescoes by the artist Madi, dried flowers in pots and ultra-soft khaki benches are the main feature. While the atmosphere is popular, the setting remains very Instagrammable. Note that the upper rooms can be privatized for free. For an event, a seminar, a meeting (with all necessary equipment provided).

On the street, passersby are captivated by the large terrace with 64 seats. Popular for sure, but always with simplicity. Because in this brasserie, you feel at home. But even better! Just ask the regulars! The room has 70 seats distributed over.2 floors. Each with a balcony! On TripAdvisor, we see that the establishment can boast 5 stars. And the reviews are full of praise. Nothing surprising...
