Brutus
They are the newest kids on the block in town. But certainly not the last to master the art of meat and its secrets. Brutus, the new aged meats restaurant, has sprung up on Palais de l'Ombrière street this summer. On the menu? A choice of aged, matured, well-raised beef from Spain with the "Rubia Gallega" breed, from France with the "Normande" breed, from Germany with the "Noire de Baltique" or even from Australia with the "Wagyu" served with homemade fries, classic or truffle mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables or a French salad. The concept is simple - the customer chooses their cut from the maturation cellar and the team takes care of the cutting before sending it to the grill.By Lucas De Castro, a young 26-year-old boss, the inclusive address (with some veggie options) draws a link between the breeders and your plates. Matured, refined, well-raised... They are just waiting for you.

Ô QG
Like its name suggests, it's the headquarters for meat lovers. Ô QG is the restaurant for meats cooked over an open fire that reignites the flame of the quayside. Enjoy!Joy! 😊🍖
On the quays of Paludate. Here, cooking is done over an open wood fire in the fireplace, in front of which customers enjoy their meals in a cozy, cocooning, rustic atmosphere. Simmental rib steak, 400g rib eye steaks, venison, veal kidneys, blanquette or even hare stew punctuate the menu. For accompaniments, choose between duck fat fries, gratin dauphinois or homemade mashed potatoes. The establishment, with the validation of a master restaurateur, prepares everything by hand. A must-try is the rare-formula of the day at €11 for lunch. We would gladly spend some time here!![]()

The Entrecôte
No need to introduce this Bordeaux institution that has been located on Place de la Comédie since 1959. With its unique formula, unchanged since its beginnings, which consists of a walnut salad, a 170g slice of sirloin steak served with unlimited fries, the place is always full. This sometimes surprises some people. Whether rightly or wrongly, we will not say. But the whole success of the address of the famous Paul Gineste de Saurs lies in its sauce (often imitated, never equaled). Its secret attracts millions of French and international visitors every year. Curious enough and patient enough to wait sometimes an hour (at most sensible) under the scorching sun. The war of the sauce is declared!

On the menu? Matured meats served with salads, fries.Gratins, mashed potatoes, or green beans. The icing on the cake? 200 wine references to accompany your ribeye or beef rib. Angel's Smokehouse
It's the very first canteen of smoked local meats in a Texan style in Bordeaux. For 2 years now, intoxicating fumes of smoked meats have been wafting from the street of Rue du Hâ, right across from Cock and Bull, amidst pubs, brunch spots, and museums. Here, the meat is slowly cooked in the Texan smoker at 120°C, just like the barbecues in the United States. You'll be pleasantly surprised by the ribs, pulled pork, and other delicious meats on offer.
12-hour smoked pork shoulder and smoked meats. As sides, you can have fries, cole slaw, or mashed potatoes. And it's all served in a friendly and laid-back atmosphere that will make you feel right at home. So if you're craving some authentic Texan-style smoked meats in Bordeaux, Angel's Smokehouse is the place to be!
Slaw, rice, or Mac and Cheese. And to top it all off, the prices are surprisingly reasonable. Quality? Absolutely. Expensive? Not at all. Reservations recommended! 🍖🍟🥗🧀
