After three successful openings in Paris and Lille, real estate giant Marriott continues its expansion in France. Next stop: the quai du Maroc in Bordeaux, right across from the Cité du Vin. The new lifestyle and alternative brand from the group definitively puts an end to the smooth and bourgeois image of our city. There, you can feel the energy of a revival, the momentum of cultural diversity, and the inspiration of a post-industrial maritime landscape. Located in the heart of the Bassins à Flots, it allows the historic neighborhood to reinvent itself with a trendy and lively spot where it's great to live and celebrate.Moxy Hotel Bordeaux

The bar at Moxy: a separate entity

On the ground floor, there are several lively or quieter spaces in a contemporary and relaxed atmosphere. A communal table area with chairs, central booths furnished with plush cushions in vibrant prints, and a dedicated work space isolated behind a pass-through library. And since the setting is ideal, an eclectic program will alternate every week with DJ sets, DIY workshops, yoga sessions, clothing swaps….

Surprise: an urban oasis at the foot of the old silos

All centered around large windows to benefit from the light of the port area. But the star is undoubtedly the bar and its instagrammable creations much less expensive (8€ instead of 15€ on average) than they appear. The Moxy offers a wide choice of cocktails, mock-tails, or low-alcohol cocktails. And to complete the picture: foosball, slackline, ping-pong, and other cultural and artistic entertainments will animate the living room and its surprising terrace at the foot of the historic 35-meter high silos. Because yes, the great surprise of the Moxy is its hidden green oasis designed by landscapers François Neveux and Bernard Rouyer. We breathe, we meet, and we have fun. That's the whole ambition of this place.A new place to live filled with character. And whether you are a customer or not!Moxy Hotel Bordeaux

Marriott: the first steps of the world's largest hotel group in Bordeaux

Opened just a few days ago, the Moxy completely designed by the agency COSA and decorated by Maison Malapert breaks away from traditional hotel practices. Starting with widespread technology. Forget room keys and check-in at the front desk. When guests arrive, their check-in is done directly from the app and their smartphone will act as keys. On-site, no reservation desk but a large bar around which life revolves. It's the Check-in gathering that ends with a complimentary tasting of a Raspberry Espresso Martini or a Fauxy Moxy made with iced tea and Moxy syrup, the two respective signatures of the house. A grand entrance indeed!

Rooms with private 26 m2 rooftop terraces

More than just a hotel, this living and accommodation space has 133 rooms with a unique style where space is limited but optimized. High-end bedding, walk-in shower, trendy industrial decor, and prestigious services (such as laundry, chromecast pack included with Netflix, or 24/7 self-service food corner) are part of the setting. 6 large rooms are designed to accommodate up to 4 travelers, either with a view of the port or the Bassins. Among them, 5 have the privilege of a 26m2 panoramic rooftop terrace on the rooftops. Breathtaking.

As a bonus, at Moxy, they address generational concerns for a more environmentally friendly lifestyle. Even the building's construction is Breeam certified, and the hotel is now aiming for the Green Key and Green Globe certifications.
