SCOOP: Monzù opens a second restaurant with a rooftop in Bordeaux

Monzù 2 will open its doors at noon. To everyone's surprise! Although the communication team kept the secret well, clues appeared on their social networks. And sources have reported to us, with excitement, that their favorite Italian place is opening a second location. We can assure you that the location is grand. Monzù 2 will replace La Tagliatella, formerly located at the end of Promenade Sainte-Catherine, on a quiet and secluded square - away from the city noise. And yet, right in the center. In total, the two are only an 8-minute walk apart.

10/10 for the spot, emanating a vacation vibe. But that was before Monzu took on the titanic project to make the place one of the most Instagrammable spots in Bordeaux. Indoor terrace, abundant greenery, eye-catching decor from floor to ceiling, and even a spacious ROOFTOP. They went all out. The team at Promenade Sainte-Catherine reveal that they were not expecting such grandeur. "It's stunning".

On the menu? Still the same winning formula. A generous Franco-Italian cuisine with some new additions. You'll find antipasti (plate of 18-month aged Parma ham, burrata from Puglia with truffle, pan-seared scallops wrapped in pancetta, parsnip mousseline with vanilla), and some new dishes available only at Monzu 2 like the .

A similar menu, with some exclusivities

Of course, the traditional Neapolitan pizzas will always be there with big icons like the "Margherita" or the "Tartufella" and some small creations like the "White Queen", "Red Cheesy" or the "Pipagna is back". For pasta, the choice will have to be made e...Among the "trottoloni alla carbonara", the "guanciale, pecorino & parmesan", the "linguine with clams and leeks", the "long pasta with clams & leeks, lemon butter, garlic & parsley" and the "fiore di pasta". Good luck deciding... And once again, the desserts will conclude the meal on a friendly and joyful note. Would you prefer "tiramonzù", "chocolate finger", "crispy dark chocolate Valrhona & creamy milk chocolate Michelangelo" or "cloud cake with praline sauce"? For those familiar with Italian cuisine (which is about 85% of Bordeaux residents), Monzu combines Italian gastronomy with a festive spirit. That's why, not just ONE but, their cocktail bars are always bustling. In this new location, you can choose your atmosphere: street art or the romance of a floral decor to enjoy their creations.

The grand opening is scheduled for noon. We can already tell you that the seats will be expensive (despite the exceptional capacity of the new restaurant) and that the upcoming services are likely to be fully booked.
