Founded in the 19th century by Albert Mollat, the Mollat bookstore has the honor of being the oldest independent bookstore in the country. Located at 15 rue Vital Carles, where it was first established in 1928 (replacing Montesquieu's house), it still proudly occupies the same spot with a vast array of books organized by themes.

A unique experience for book lovers

With its vast bookshelves, the bookstore offers a unique experience where customers can browse through the 15 consecutive aisles (sometimes getting lost) and discover an impressive selection of 300,000 books, ranging from timeless classics to the most popular new releases.
