Craving a forest bath? A hike in the Taillan-Médoc woods

Loop of 8.9 km - 2h15 walking

In Japan, the Ministry of Health recognized in the 80s the "forest baths" as a preventive health measure. It is scientifically proven that this practice helps reduce stress, anxiety, and fatigue. What are you still doing on your couch? The Taillan-Médoc forest, next to the "Municipal Stadium" stop on line 2, offers several peaceful and relaxing trails amidst the pine trees. So put down your phone, put on your sneakers, and follow the black arrows!

Loop of 10.4 km - 3h00 walk

Looking for a unique date idea? Starting from the Buttinière tram stop, this hike through half-forest, half-paved paths has the advantage of offering beautiful viewpoints and places to stop and have a picnic with your crush. Between Cenon and Floirac, you can take them to enjoy the heights of the right bank of Bordeaux, passing through Palmer Park, Cypressat Park, and the Burthe estate. It's sure to impress them!

Want to strengthen family bonds? The loop of the parks of Cap de Bos and Bourgailh

Loop of 7.83 km - 2h15 walk

Your family keeps nagging you to do "activities together"? Well, take little ones and big ones to discover the Bourgailh park, passing by the Cap de Bos basin, or even the lovely Peugue wood. Whether with friends or family, on a bike or on foot, this walk will be perfect to unwind after a week of work!

Want to hike with your feet in the sand? Visit the Dune du Pilat!

Loop of 7km - 3 hours of walking

As Bordeaux locals, we are lucky to be only 50 minutes by train from the Arcachon Bay. From there, you can take a bus for only 1 euro to reach the highest dune in Europe, the famous Dune du Pilat. For a Saharan adventure just a stone's throw from Bordeaux, you're in the right place! After your ascent, you can admire the magnificent panoramic view of the Banc d'Arguin Nature Reserve, the forest, and the Pointe du Cap Ferret. The return along the base of the dune will offer you a completely different landscape. There's nothing better to breathe in some fresh ocean air and return home feeling rejuvenated like never before!

Hiking not really your thing? How about a bike ride

Loop of 19.8 km - 1h30 cycling

If walking isn't your cup of tea, no worries, we suggest a loop for mountain biking (or hybrid bikes) between the castles of Pessac-Léognan, with a mix of bike paths, small roads, and dirt trails. Starting from Mèdoquine, you'll transition from city to countryside, passing through numerous vineyards, castles, the Chappe telegraph tower, and the Eau Bourde path. A relaxing ride that will clear your mind!
