The Editor

From the land to aluminum: Brigitte Després is shaking up the wine world with her company, La Robe du Vin. This dynamic entrepreneur has selected 12 organic or HVE wines (High Environmental Value), sourced from independent and committed winemakers located in the Val de Loire, Bordeaux, Côtes de Provence, Gascogne, and the Rhône Valley.

Each 25 cl can (which is about 2 glasses of wine) clearly shows the origin, the name of the winemaker, tasting tips, and food pairings to help consumers on their tasting journey. Choosing wine in a can meets the demand for convenience and also reflects a desire to reduce the carbon footprint: aluminum is 100% recyclable and much lighter than glass.

A Container That Protects the Wine

To preserve quality, each can is equipped with a polyphenol film between the aluminum and the wine, ensuring no contact and protecting the precious nectar from light. This technical detail reassures enthusiasts: the wine retains all its sensory qualities, even in a portable format.

An Expanding Customer Base But a General Public to Convince

While younger generations (18-35 years old) readily embrace this new format, those aged 35-50 remain a bit more reserved. However, the trend is changing: over the past three years, reluctance has significantly decreased, proving that canned wine is gaining ground in France. Festivals, outdoor hospitality, campgrounds, and booming sales all across the country: La Robe du Vin is establishing itself as an essential player in this wine revolution!

Ecological, awarded the prestigious Golden Can.

A responsible wine for a reasonable consumption

Brigitte Despré’s philosophy: to offer a format suited for reasonable consumption, to avoid waste and allow everyone to enjoy a glass of wine, wherever they want, whenever they want, without opening a whole bottle.

A simple gesture, ethical and in tune with the times.
