Well, this is worth its weight in gold (this phrase hides a little clue to guess which one it is)! The List, which rewards the best restaurants in the world every year, has unveiled its ranking for the year 2022. And no surprise, for the fifth consecutive year, we find at the top the master Guy Savoy leading the gastronomic restaurant at the Monnaie de Paris.
So, the best restaurant in the world is in France! It surpasses the famous Bernardin, in New York, in second place (for the 3rd consecutive year), and La Vague d'Or - Le Cheval Blanc in Saint-Tropez. A ranking that highlights French cuisine, as the top 20 alone includes 9 French restaurants, such as Arpège, L'Ambroisie (Paris), and Régis and Jacques Marcon in Saint-Bonnet-le-Froid.

The Pressoir d'Argent in the spotlight
But what about the one and only address in the capital of Bordeaux? In this Top 1,000, we find the grand Pressoir d'Argent (restaurant of the Intercontinental), led by the international chef Gordon Ramsay. This two Michelin stars restaurant charms with its atmosphere and creative cuisine that highlights local products. Its exceptional menu showcases, among others, black truffles from Gironde, foie gras from Charente, and the essential Breton lobster. All of this, accompanied by 1000 bottles of wine (mostly from Bordeaux) that honor the excellent terroir. With all its strengths, the Pressoir d'Argent receives a very encouraging score of 78/100.
