Events at the bar and beyond
Designed as a lively place, Quartier B hosts a variety of events organized with this goal in mind. Rap blind tests, Bad Bi Party, girly night featuring the greatest hip-hop classics from the 2000s to now, local artist release parties, DJ sets, scratch workshops, exhibitions, vernissages... The event programming is in full swing. Next event planned? A hip-hop & disco night tonight.
And since everything is a pretext to strengthen the hip-hop culture in Bordeaux, the bar sometimes relocates with Block Boat, rap nights that mix DJ sets and live rap performance at Iboat. An underground universe that contrasts nicely with the cozy and warm atmosphere of Quartier B. It should be noted that all events are welcome as long as they showcase the hip-hop cultural scene. All about freestyle: Customized cocktails
Another signature of the spot? A carefully selected team of bartenders to mix up traditional cocktails like the Moscow Mule, Gin To or signature cocktails.
The added bonus? Freestyle cocktails priced at 10€: tell them what you like and they will create a personalized drink for you. And to stay true to their theme, each cocktail is named after a musical reference... Like the "Strass et paillettes" made with champagne and St-Germain, a direct nod to Booba's song title, the "Kala" by artist Mia or the "Mr Morale" by Kendrick Lamar. Maybe you'll be able to figure that out?
High Dwich: The specialty of the house
To accompany the drinks, we let ourselves be intoxicated by a menu of tapas to share or delicately prepared dishes. Before it was B district, it was the Fine Equipe, a gem of the French aperitivo scene. It seems that the quality of the menu has not been affected by the change of ownership.
Generous platters, homemade nuggets, brioche bread, curry crab meat and tamara... Not to mention the weekly changing specials: hummus & naan cheese, feta puff pastry, bruschetta, stuffed squash... The menu is mainly crafted in collaboration with local suppliers. Big up to the truffle high dwich that are perfect for a quick bite and absolutely delicious!
A trendy place
Rest assured, the setting is just as elegant as the dishes served there. Behind the terrace: a glass door reveals a row of brass tables from the 60s framed by an ebony bench on one side and an astonishing metal bar on the other. The most spectacular part: an entire wall dedicated to rap song lyrics, hand-drawn. All under a vegetal grille of plants and light bulbs creating a cozy atmosphere.
A real cabinet of curiosities in blond stone, the place is full of vintage furniture and collectible objects. You sit on soft seats from an old barbershop, illuminated by industrial lanterns.
