The Snack
A true pancake paradise, The Snack has made it its specialty. The entire menu is centered around it. And it seems that the concept is popular because Emilien and Léa (siblings from Bègles) opened a second establishment in another neighborhood shortly after. The very first Snack, which was born in September 2018, is located on Rue de Guienne just a few steps from the Grosse Cloche. Its little sister opened a year ago on Rue Fondaudège. Both offer the same formula: a restaurant/brunch dedicated to pancakes. The entire menu is based on fresh products, 90% of which are locally sourced.
For example, they have "The Sailor" (fresh lemon herb cream cheese, pickled onions, sesame, and smoked trout), the "Pink Veggie" (beet hummus, ricotta, honey, hazelnut shards, and pomegranate), or the best-seller, the "classic" (hollandaise sauce, scrambled eggs, chives, and grilled pancetta). Of course, there are also sweet options available.A gourmet array of toppings and sauces. Bonus: Fondaudèges brings in their chef Laura from Monday to Friday to create bistro-style pancakes. You can try charcoal, herb-infused, or bacon-filled pancakes. Enjoy them inside or outside, as you prefer. Both restaurants offer a terrace with about ten seats. And for families with young children, there's a small playground where kids can play safely. While their parents marvel at delicious and conceptual creations.

She & Him
Hey you! We welcome you to the first Franco-American café in Bordeaux. She & Him is our American Dream. Founded in 2020 by Emely and Thomas who work together behind the counter and in life, this American French Café in the Fondaudège area has taken off like a rocket. For several reasons. Firstly, the delicious and refined menu served continuously every lunchtime (except Mondays), as well as its charming decor that makes you feel like you're in a cozy cafe in New York.Soft and cozy but especially its generous desserts concocted by the founder who is a trained pastry chef. Among them, the creamy pancakes served with maple syrup (or extra fruits). In the same register, there is the thousand-layer cake. And that's really impressive! In just a few days, this has become the signature dish of the restaurant and a top trend on Bordeaux's social networks.
Revisited sometimes with vanilla, matcha, chai tea, or chocolate... Its 20 thin crepes stacked and sprinkled with cream are a hit. We said yes!
She & Him If you don't already know, Madame Pancakes is a 100% electric tricycle that roams the streets of Bordeaux and its surroundings. From the streets of Bordeaux to the waterfront, as well as markets and private events, you're likely to come across Laure and her popular mobile concept. Using high-quality ingredients, Madame Pancakes is a hit with locals and visitors alike. So, keep an eye out for this delightful treat on wheels!
Big Bean There's no need to introduce the Kokomo establishment in Bordeaux. A true landmark in the Bordeaux gastronomic scene, this urban canteen just a few steps from Place Fernand-Lafargue is often fully booked. And for good reason, its California brunch is a hit. On the menu? Avocado toast, açaï bowl, huevo rancheros, detox juice or pancakes, everything is delicious and beautifully presented.Home-made pastries. But what customers specifically come for are the pancakes. Savory version with grilled bacon and fried eggs. Or sweet with seasonal fruits, homemade granola, and yogurt cream. Our hearts are torn between the two. So the two chefs, let's go for the 12th!

Big Bean
This is the ultimate British canteen. Discreet yet 100% authentic, it was born in the Fondaudège district in October 2019. No frills here, just a completely homemade British cuisine (from bacon, to Cumberland sausage and even smoked salmon). When you walk through the doors, Laurie and Clément welcome us in a warm and cozy atmosphere, with the colors of the Union Jack. All England enthusiasts are offered on the menu. English breakfast, Fish and Chips prepared on the spot or traditional afternoon tea with warm scones. The journey is immediate.
And among all these marvels, we find the pancake every day. One of their iconic dishes. Impressive in size and texture, Clément perfected his recipe for 3 months to.that's mouth-watering. Similar to a "pillow", it is named after a pillow because it combines its softness with the crispiness of a cinnamon roll. Available in sweet or savory versions, they are served individually, in pairs, or in threes, either plain or with toppings (bacon or fresh seasonal fruits with maple syrup). For those with a hearty appetite, they can try the "Vitamin P" discipline, a new dish on the menu. On the plate, a pancake coexists with a homemade potato cake, Cumberland sausage, bacon, and a pancake to top it all off. With the option to add a fried egg if needed. Who wants to try?
