Mona: the most popular brunch and tea salon in Gambetta is now offering takeout

In the street of the Old Tower hides a little corner of paradise for those who are looking to eat quality food on the go. Whether it's for your lunch break, for brunch, or for snack time, this tea room serves meals made with fresh products, as well as drinks and homemade desserts. Which have made the house's success!

Except on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays, Mona welcomes you from 11am, until their restocking is depleted. Behind the counter, two sisters, Laurene and Angela, work hard to make you feel at home by delighting you with their "made at home" recipes in their cozy little restaurant.

Two new Sunday brunch formulas

Instead of being able to welcome you warmly in their bohemian cocoon of sweetness, Mona currently offers take-out options. The current menu includes a daily dish, salad or soup of the day, croque monsieur with truffle ham, Mona bowl with smoked salmon or chicken, and cream and ham pasta shells, with prices ranging from 4€ to 14€ each. If you have a sweet tooth, you will fall in love with their pastries at 4.90€ per slice: banoffee, carrot cake, chocolate-caramel-hazelnut tart, cheesecake, lemon tart, molten chocolate cakes, red fruit crumble. For those with a sweet tooth (or special occasions), you can order whole cakes 48 hours in advance.

The establishment is also launching its two "brunch" formulas to go with reservation via Instagram. The menu includes regular or truffle ham croque monsieur with coleslaw, banana/caramel pancakes, meringue, fruit salad, and a hot drink for 16€. Additionally, you can enjoy pastries alongside your brunch with a cold drink for 20€. Orders can be placed in advance by direct message on Instagram or by phone.

After Bordeaux, head to the mountains!

In addition to delighting the taste buds of the people of Bordeaux since 2015, Laurene and Angela have thought about filling the stomachs of winter sports and mountain enthusiasts. During the winter season, another branch is open in Super Besse in Puy-de-Dôme, offering only takeaway.
