Maison Lamour: The Most Coveted

It needs no introduction. The bakery that won the title of best bakery in France has been delighting the taste buds of the people of Bordeaux since 2016. Once again this year, it is being swarmed by food lovers for its 2 frangipane galettes (one classic and the other a twist with apple and cinnamon) and its 2 brioche galettes (classic with vanilla and a revamped version with lime and white chocolate).

Since then, customers have been coming specifically to taste the flaky creation of the 37-year-old departmental champion who works in Gradignan. Since her nomination, orders have skyrocketed: 1200 galettes have already been sold compared to 800 last year, 2 days before Epiphany. Her little secret? "A delicate work of lamination for a flaky pastry with inverted layers and a composition that is 100% almonds," she confides to our colleagues at Le Figaro.

Aux Merveilleux de Fred : the most "ch'ti"

Au Pétrin Moissagais : The Most Orangey

In front of the shop window: Bordeaux locals and tourists patiently wait outside the address they discovered on the small screen. Serge Combarieu, on the other hand, is doing what he loves best.
